TEC-subsidised courses

Most iterations of these courses attract course fee subsidies through funding from the Tertiary Education Commission. If a course fee subsidy is available for that course, this will be evident on the website.

Where a course offers a funding subsidy, this is available to the following registrants:

• NZ citizens
• Permanent migrants and their partners on work visas or visitor visas
• Refugees who have personally been granted refugee status

 Conditions:

• Registrants should be over the age of 16 years
• Registrants must not be currently enrolled in a secondary school.

To meet our funding requirements for the Tertiary Education Commission:

• We need to collect extra information such as age, ethnicity, educational achievement and gender.
• You should provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency or refugee status (for example through presentation of your birth certificate, or passport and/or visa, or a statutory declaration).
• You must agree to attend at least 80% of the hours of the course for which you are receiving the subsidy.
