Think Talk: Raising Resilient Kiwi Kids
Tuesday 16 September 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Mental distress among young New Zealanders has increased to concerning levels in recent years. Therefore, there is an urgent need to build resilience in children and youth as this is one of the most important preventative approaches to help reduce the later risk of mental distress. Resilient kids are better equipped to adapt to adverse experiences and flourish in life.
In this talk, we will take a deeper look at how resilience can be cultivated and explore some of the ways that parents, schools, communities, and policymakers can help to promote resilience in our children and young people and help them thrive.
