Description

You will make a Christmas Candle to use as decor or to give to someone for Christmas. A recent study showed that 80% of people were happy to receive a handmade Christmas gift. Handmade gifts are also cost effective and environmentally friendly! 

Course outline

In this class we will have a range of summer and Christmas fragrances to choose and you will:

• Learn to work with soy wax.
• Learn how to best care for your candle (which you can also share with others as your party trick at your festive gathering - lol! )
• Wick your candle.
• Receive your personalised Christmas candle label.
• Receive and decorate your Christmas gift box.

If you're looking to learn a new skill, make your own Christmas decor pieces or want to make hand made items to gift this Christmas, come and join us! One of the most appealing aspects of DIY gifts is that they often cost less than store-bought alternatives. Making your own gifts gives you the opportunity to save money while still presenting a thoughtful and cherished gift.

What to bring

Come dressed in your fave Christmas colours, costume or decor! Bring your drink bottle and apron or art smock to protect your clothing. All materials ($22) are provided for this course.

About your tutor

I started researching candle making when my grandmother passed away overseas during the first lockdown, I wanted to continue her memory and have this passion into my own candle business. I would love to share my knowledge with others with the hope they would find it as therapeutic as I have.
