Soft Pastels for Adults

Find what fascinates you as you explore pastels in this workshop.

Pastels have a very high concentration of pigment, held together by the least possible amount of gum binder. As a result, they crumble very easily, but their colours are wonderfully intense. Learn how to create beautiful seasons landscape artworks in pastels. The soft texture of these pastels can create smooth, smudgy lines and intense colour.

Jas will take you through the process of effectively using pastels, step-by-step. You can expect to produce two seasons landscape artwork pieces.

What to bring

Your lunch and drink bottle. Tea and coffee will be provided in the staffroom for breaks. All materials (value $35) are provided for this course and you'll be able to take home your pastels set at the end of the day.

About your tutor

I am a passionate artist and art tutor who has lived and worked in five different countries. My cultural experiences have helped me to develop a unique art style, understanding of different cultures, positive attitude and good communication skills.
