Explore texturing in paper pulp to create stunning works of art. This workshop will teach you how to make your own paper pulp and then how to paint and create different textural effects to accentuate your masterpiece with gradation. At the end of this course, you will produce one major art piece: a 3D low-relief sculptural work mounted on a canvas panel. All materials are provided for this course and a materials charge is included within your course fee.
Your lunch, and a painting shirt or apron if you wish. We will provide tea and coffee in the staffroom for breaks. Bring a 2l icecream container, bowl or similar for mixing your paper clay medium.

Amanda Fe Echevarria is a professional visual artist, art educator and curator currently completing her post-graduate degree in Creative Art Therapy. She has more than 15 years of teaching experience in different settings. In her home country of the Philippines, Amanda has taught paper clay painting in art courses offered at her workshop, showing students the techniques to create vibrant and striking images without the use of paintbrushes. This way of painting is so popular in the Philippines that they hold national competitions in this medium.
