Your lunch. A blank journal, a pencil, eraser, small ruler and your preferred drawing tools e.g. colour pencils, fine-liner drawing pens, small watercolour palette and brush. Your tutor will provide other materials. You may like to attend the course Make a Concertina-style Journal or Sketchbook on Saturday 21 September to make your own journal.
Anyone looking for ways to relax and be in the moment in nature, to learn how to effectively look and question what they see or experience and to record this in words and pictures.
I am an award winning natural history illustrator of children’s books and a keen botanical artist. Part of my art practice for many years has been keeping regular nature journals, based around the diverse habitats I visit. I care passionately about our natural world and love to reconnect people with nature.
