Yoga is a beautiful ancient system for integrating mind, body and spirit. Our tutors work with postures (asana) breath (pranayama) and energy flow (the chakra system) and Yoga Nidra – relaxation.
The word Yoga means to yoke or bind, and is often interpreted as union. To bring together, to be in unity, to be one, to be whole.
Yoga aims to develop greater body awareness and consciousness of ourselves in relation to the world around us. Yoga is a non-competitive activity and each student is guided to work within his or her own capability, gradually encouraging each body to greater ease of movement and flexibility.
Yoga can be a support for our life allowing us to arrive in the present moment, relaxing, energising and strengthening.
Join this inclusive class with a patient and experienced tutor who will guide you through Gentle Yoga. Please make your tutor aware of any issues or concerns at the start of the class. Or if you have any concerns about participation due to physical limitations, feel free to contact our office.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring a Yoga mat, optional a blanket for relaxation.
