Description
Unlock the art of gold foiling, embossing, and lettering in this hands-on course, designed for beginners and crafters looking to elevate their creative projects. You will be introduced to a variety of techniques that form the foundation of stunning gold foiling and embossing, learning the different tools and materials required. Through guided practice, you will develop the skills needed to expertly apply gold foil to paper and other surfaces, creating dazzling designs and finishes.
Throughout the course, we’ll also explore creative inspiration on how to incorporate gold foiling into your work—whether for stationery, greeting cards, artwork, or decorative pieces. Finally, you will learn tips and tricks for achieving a flawless, professional finish on your projects, ensuring your creations shine with high-quality results.
By the end of the course, you'll have the confidence and skills to incorporate gold foiling, embossing, and lettering into your craft repertoire and apply them to a variety of projects with finesse.
In this evening course you will learn a range of techniques including calligraphy and lettering, gold foiling, embossing, personalised stamps, and simple book binding, to create not just a record but a personal journal story of all we learn over these six weeks.

About your tutor
Margaret Woollett, a Freelance Calligrapher and Lettering Artist, has been involved with lettering and calligraphy for more than 25 years, as a student, freelancer and teacher. She works from her Devonport studio taking classes, teaching at community centres and working freelance for a wide range of commercial clients.
