Description
Create cards with multiple layers that each open to reveal your personalised messages, photos or art work.
In this course you will learn basic scrapbooking and paper engineering skills by creating your own special and unique folio of personalised cards to be given to the important people in your life, and to be cherished for years to come. These cards are not like anything you have seen before! One page opens, then another, then another and so what once looked like a two-page card is actually often 10 pages! These make unique gifts or even heirlooms.
Your creation will be complete in 4 steps:
Step 1- creation of a never ending card
Step 2- creation of a waterfall card
Step 3- creation of a folio to hold the 2 cards
Step 4 - finish all projects, advice on how to scrapbook cheaply in NZ and creation of a little tag to add to the folio.
Expected learning outcomes
- Be able to make never ending cards every time you have something to say on a special occasion,
- Be able to make the same folio at home without any specific (and expensive) tools,
- Be able to enjoy your best souvenirs again and again - even when you run out of battery (I would suggest to put your best souvenirs in this 1st folio and keep it in your handbag)
- Able to treat your beloved ones with a customised gift they will cherish forever,
Believe me, it feels very good to be able to give a little something full of love to family members or friends …That’s such a great way to say I love you!
Who should attend?
Anybody from 16 years upwards can attend this course. Beginners are welcome, intermediate and advanced scrapbookers who want to improve their technique and add interactions in their projects can also benefit from this course.
About your tutor, Emmanuelle
I have been scrapbooking for more than 20 years (my best friend is a scrapbooking master) in Reunion Island first (that’s where I come from) and then in New Zealand for seven years for my family and friends. I love seeing how much they like what I make for them and they always ask me: how much time did you put into this project? Although I can’t answer this question - because I don’t count my hours when I’m in my workshop/garage - I’m always grateful for the appreciation of my work. Not everybody can appreciate scrapbooking and I’m glad when I find people who do. For me, a scrapbooking project is one of the best ways to say I love you (although I think a diamond is another good way to say that…), that’s why I would like to teach scrapbooking. Helping people spread love around them makes me very happy.
