We'll have time to make three or four necklaces in this workshop.
Bring your own beads (either broken necklaces or ones you don't enjoy any more) or buy some cheapies from the hospice shop.
Kathy will bring some samples for you to view and help you with ideas.
If you have any beading tools – bring them with you. For example, pliers used for beading and wire cutters. Or use the ones we'll have available on the day. We will supply tiger’s tail, wire and other threads for restringing your necklace, plus clasps, crimps and jump rings to finish off your necklace.
If you enjoy this craft, Kathy can give you advice on tools and supplies.
A happy story: Lizzie attended this course in 2021. Having found a new hobby, Lizzie now continues to make beautiful jewellery from reused beads. And she now volunteers at an Op Shop, repairing donated jewellery so these pieces can be sold to support the charity. Lizzie will be popping into the course on 17 August to share her enthusiasm for this craft and to show some of her work.
Materials cost included in course fee ($15).
