An English evening course for beginner level students. 48 hours, 24 classes. Course fees $35 - $470, text books $95.
Courses run for eight week courses. Each course has classes on Monday AND Tuesday AND Wednesday 7 - 9 PM. Total 48 hours.
The English Beginners course for those with little English. Learn the basics to enable you to start to speak, read and write. Please contact the office if you need to take a short test to find your English level.
Maximum class size 12 students.
This course offers a course fee subsidy through funding from the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizens, migrants with residency class visas, and refugees. In some cases, spouses of these people may also qualify for a subsidy. Please enquire at the office. The subsidised course fee is $35.
Conditions: the learner must be aged 16 years or older and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. You must commit to attending at least 80% of your course.
We need to collect extra information such as age, ethnicity, educational achievement and gender for statistical purposes. You must also provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency or refugee status.
NZ citizens and those with residency class visas: $35 plus course books $95. This course fee is subsidised by the Tertiary Education Commission and attendance conditions apply.
Those with Visitor, Work, Student or other visas: $470 plus course books $95. If you are awarded a residency visa while you are studying with us, please let us know. You may qualify for a fee rebate.
