Description
Learn to dance with easy rhythm dance music. Build your individual dance sequences so that when you hear the music, you'll be able to get up and give it a go. You will be dancing in five minutes in this class.
Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes for dancing - no high or sharp heels. Please enrol in dance couples (course fee of $140.00 per couple will automatically apply). If you are a single dancer, please contact the office before registration so that we can confirm whether we have another single dancer for you to partner - this might be a same-sex dance partnership if this proves necessary.
Covered in this six-week class:
- basic sequence, lady right and left turns, man change of hands behind the back, American spin
- American spin and review American spin, Comb, Link, Combination Lady Right turn, side basic hip check and hand-clap.
- Double handed ladies turn to mans left. followed by double handed ladies turn to mans right (twice) and return to basic
- Windmill, Whip, Mooch, Roll of the arm followed alternatively by repeat then ladies right turn, then return to basic.
Who should attend?
Adult dance couples wanting to learn the basics of jive rock'n'roll dancing. Designed for beginners but refreshers welcome.
