2025 workshop dates (more may be added according to demand):
Starting from scratch you will mix the meats and vegetables to use for your dumplings, then you will steam fry the dumplings while making your own super umami dipping sauce using a mix of Asian inspired flavours. Afterwards we will all sit and eat as a group. Learn all the tricks, techniques and shortcuts to make your cooking more efficient. The course is designed to give you a foundation to create dumplings using your own flavour inspirations. All ingredients are provided and your workshop fee includes a materials charge of $18.
A tea towel and a container in case there are leftovers.
Vinay is a self taught chef, combining a passion for food with a structured logic to his cooking. He has cooked in practically every country in Europe, picking up intricate skills and techniques along the way. He has also run his own cooking school and is passionate about teaching and inspiring people to get joy from their food. With his fun and enthusiastic approach, he is gaining quite a following at Selwyn Community Education.
