This course is tailored for individuals who support loved ones facing mental health challenges. Its goal is to enhance understanding of both the mental health experiences of those they care for and the unique challenges faced by caregivers. Participants will learn how to respond effectively in times of crisis, improve communication with their loved ones, and access appropriate support. Ultimately, the course provides valuable resources to not only help those they care for but also to empower and support the caregivers themselves during difficult times.

This course is ideal for family members, friends, and anyone motivated to make a positive difference in the lives of those facing mental health challenges. Whether they’re new to the topic or seeking to deepen their understanding, this course will provide insights and practical tools for effective support.
I’m a counsellor (Member of New Zealand of Association of Counsellors. I’ve had experiences supporting people through private practice, and Lifeline. I have also had personal experience of helping others with mental health issues.
