Description
Expected learning outcomes
- Learn to use and understand camera settings.
- Learn how to control lighting and get perfect exposures.
- Understand focus and composition.
- Improve choice of subjects for better images..
- Effective use of phone accessories e.g. bluetooth remotes, selfie ring-lights, tripod and holders
- Learn to select the best photos, along with basic editing and uploading to Facebook or Instagram.
Course outline
- Session 1 (Wed PM) classroom – introduction to the basics of fun still life photos. Discussing field trips and making carpool arrangements if needed.
- Session 2 (Wed PM) classroom – selfies and portraits and using ring-lights (supplied to use in class).
- Session 3 (Sat AM) offsite – field trip to Auckland Domain Wintergardens with a focus on flowers and nature.
- Session 4 (Thur PM) offsite - field trip to Sylvia Park for fun and interesting photos throughout the mall.
- Session 5 (Wed PM) classrooms– food and close-up photos. Editing and uploading to Facebook and Instagram.
What to bring
Bring your phone and make sure it is fully charged. Ensure there is plenty storage for photos. Bring powerbank or charger if required. Bring any phone accessories if you have any – there will be discussions on these and available to use in class.
