Have you got broken necklaces at home that you'd love to repurpose into new jewellery? Bring some of your own old beads and fashion fabulous new necklaces. Beading afficionado Kathy will show you the tricks of turning beads into necklaces. Learn to restring beads and finish your necklace with a secure clasp.
Please note there is NO refund or transfer if you cancel less than 5 working days in advance of a class starting. Our refund policy can be read in full here.
We'll have time to make three or four necklaces in this workshop.
Bring your own beads (either broken necklaces or ones you don't enjoy any more) or buy some cheapies from the hospice shop. Kathy will bring some samples for you to view and help you with ideas.
If you have any beading tools – bring them with you. For example, pliers used for beading and wire cutters. Or use the ones we'll have available on the day. We will supply tiger’s tail, wire and other threads for restringing your necklace, plus clasps, crimps and jump rings to finish off your necklace.
If you enjoy this craft, Kathy can give you advice on tools and supplies. Materials cost included in course fee ($15).
A happy story: Lizzie attended this course in 2021. Having found a new hobby, Lizzie now continues to make beautiful jewellery from reused beads and now volunteers at an op shop, repairing donated jewellery so these pieces can be sold to support the charity.
