Discover the psychology behind how we think, feel, and behave—and learn practical tools you can use every day to boost resilience, improve relationships, and understand yourself and others.
Everyday Psychology is a four-session course that explores the science behind how we think, feel, and behave, with a focus on practical application. Participants will examine key themes including memory and why we forget, stress and resilience in daily life, how people change from birth to old age, and how we form our identity, culture, and how groups shape the way we see ourselves and others. The course also looks at influence, conflict, and gives participants and understand of mental ill-health and self-care. Each session blends psychological theory with real-world tips, giving participants insights and tools they can apply straight away in work, relationships, and everyday decisions.
Anyone who has ever thought ‘I wonder why I do that’ or wondered why other people did something. Anyone who wants to better understand themselves and the people around them.
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand, talk about and put into practice helpful strategies concerning:

How We Think – Memory, decision-making, attention, biases.
