Description
During this course the children will go through a hands-on journey where they will create their very own work of art. Lucie will help spark their imagination, talk them through the essence of good design and provide all the materials needed to bring their ideas to life
By the end of our workshop, they will have created a unique art piece that can be ridden or hung on a wall! All materials for the artwork (not wheels) are provided within the course fee ($60 value).
During the course we will:
- Generate ideas on individual inspirations
- Sketch on paper in live size
- Refine ideas and sketches
- Begin our first attempts at skateboard art-making
- Talk about individual narratives pictured on sketches
- Decide on the right choice of art medium and experimenting with each medium (acrylic, spray, stamp, collage)
- Work on our own skateboards
- Finalise the skateboard art with clear coating
Note: this course produces a skateboard deck as an artwork. If you wish, you can later add your own trucks to create a rideable skateboard.

Children 8 - 14 years old.
What to bring
