    Description

Come and get creative with a finalist from the NZ Wearable Arts! Join Beatrice Carlson and she will guide you as you design and make your very own extravagant creative adornment to embellish your wardrobe – a combination of jewellery and art.  Each piece will measure approximately 25cm x 18cm. Throughout the process you will learn about the wearable art competition and following this you will be guided and encouraged to go through your own process of creating your own WOW piece.

Using perspex, a variety of images, glass cabochons, chains and a selection of interesting and vibrant adornments you will leave the course with your own glorious piece of extravaganza! In the process you will have learned how to work with perspex and have the skills to make more unique and vibrant creations at home.

    Testimonials

    From some previous participants:

I created a beautiful bracelet by simply combining the feathers and a brooch I found in op shop. I just glued it to a piece of leather and then connected it to the basic simple bracelet. It took me maybe an hour and result was spectacular! I fearlessly used the drill, it was sooo cool!

The most fun was working with jewellery pieces, playing around and connecting them differently, that was so cool. I had to give up my original chest piece as I put too much love into it and so much of a hard job, that it started becoming obvious

Our workshop not only gave me an incredible boost of creativity, but most importantly it enabled and showed me how I can do things. How to cut, how to glue, how to apply, how to put things together... I had so many ideas, so many different images, but once I started actually working through it, it was slowly becoming clear what does work and what doesn't.
