Delve into a mix of Greek mythology, philosophy, and literature with the aim of discovering new ways to look at love, suffering, honour, money, belonging, and the soul. What can we learn about ourselves and our lives from looking at the works the Greeks left behind 2,500 years ago? This course will provide information about some of the Greek ideas and ideals with a chance for discussion as well.
Anyone who is interested in learning a little bit about the Greek psyche and re-looking at society and people from a new angle.
"I love sharing stories and information about the ancient Greeks, building on the study and teaching I did at the University of Auckland in Classics and Ancient History. The more we understand about other times and other cultures, the more we understand ourselves and one another."
