Sauerkraut is incredibly nutritious and healthy. It provides probiotics. Lots of vitamin C and vitamin K2, which are known for their health benefits, and many other nutrients. Eating sauerkraut may help strengthen your immune system and improve your digestion. The regular consumption of small quantities of fermented foods, such as sauerkraut, is believed to reduce your risk of certain diseases, and even lose weight.
So if you'd like to become proficient at making this healthful fermented food at home, join us to learn how. It can be simply made using equipment you already have at home - all you need is a knife, a bowl and a jar.
This is a hands-on course for making sauerkraut where you will make your own jar and take it home with you - your jar will still need 1-2 weeks of bench-top fermentation and care before it is ready for the fridate.

A very enjoyable class. It’s a how-to but also covers some of the basic science and nutrition principles in an interesting and accessible way. It teaches you the basics from scratch but also gives you the knowledge and confidence to experiment and develop your skills over time. Luke
