Description
Experience nearly a thousand years of history woven into Tāmaki Makaurau—“the land desired by many.” This engaging walk reveals stories of natural landscapes, early Māori settlement, and the city’s transformation through the colonial era. Along the way, the cityscape becomes your guide as you uncover layers of history through its geography, architecture, and remarkable public art. A captivating journey through the past, hidden in plain sight.
Meeting point for the walk is at the Britomart Train Station or somewhere nearby. The exact details will be emailed upon registration.
Your tour leader on the day will be wearing identification. The walking tour will conclude in the CBD.
